Current versions (VCam 0.13 or later / VCam2D)

  • Lip sync might stop working when connecting a microphone like AirPods while VCam is running.
    • Solution: Please re-select the lip sync mode after connecting the microphone. Alternatively, restart VCam.
  • The accuracy of emotion (smile, etc.) estimation is low.
    • Solution: If you get unintended expressions, turn off “Use emotion by Mic or Camera” in the “Experiment” tab, and switch expressions with the expression buttons or shortcuts instead.
  • Combining the expression button with blinking and lip motion can distort the expression. (VCam)
    • Solution: When creating the blend shape for the VRM file, make sure that combining A and Blink with other expressions won’t cause distortions.
  • Screen flickers in Zoom.
    • Solution: Reduce the FPS in the “Rendering” tab or the camera FPS in the “Tracking” tab. (It’s possible that the tracking or screen update processing isn’t keeping up.)
  • Installing the virtual camera fails with “extension category returned error” in VCam 0.15.0.
    • Solution: Please update to the latest version. VCam 0.15.0 shipped with a misconfigured virtual camera extension, which makes new installations and reinstallations fail. (Environments where it’s already installed are not affected.)
